Blue Sky Aviation GmbH is your flight school in Mönchengladbach to obtain the private pilot license in the regions of Rhineland and southwestern Ruhr area centrally located In Dusseldorf and Cologne. Here we train you to obtain a private pilot license (non-commercial).
In an individual conversation we give you the option of which EASA license is the right one for your needs.
We train at our EDLN site with modern ECHO class aircraft fleet. These aircraft are equipped with piston engines and have an MTOW of less than 2,000 kg. Training is available every day of the year (except Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year's day from 8:00AM to 8:30PM.) EDLN Airport has a 1,200 m long asphalt runway in a controlled zone. The following information is mainly specified on the PPL (A) license. The information about the LAPL (A) can be found in the section LAPL (A) The EASA FCL is also ICAO compliant. In principle, the PPL (A) authorizes you to fly single-engine piston aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 2,000 kg. For airplanes with a takeoff weight of up to 5,700 kg, you can purchase a type rating.
Based on the PPL (A) license, additional authorizations can be acquired.
These are for example:
The PPL (A) also gives you the right to charter an aircraft outside the EU, for example in the USA or in other destinations. The time it takes for a PPL (A) is between 4 and 12 months. The duration of the training will be individually coordinated with you based on your available time options. This also includes a vote on the time required for theoretical and practical training. The two areas are overlapped in parallel and planned so that your progress is leveled out.
Requirements for the PPL (A)
Minimum age: 16 years at start of training, 17 years at license acquisition
Theoretical education takes place with clear and structured curricula. We carry out the lessons on a distance-learning basis (web-based training) or close-to-school (frontal and individual coaching) as part of the respective training plan individually or in combination.
